Locker Service Terms & Conditions

By placing your items in a Tide Cleaners locker, leaving your items at a Tide Cleaners location, or by using our website/app, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. Unpaid Orders

Orders that have not been paid for within 30 days of the pickup date will be considered abandoned and donated.

2. Order Requests

An order request is created when a customer places an order in the Tide Cleaners Lockers app. Tide Cleaners is not responsible for orders left in the lockers without associated order requests being created in the Tide Cleaners Lockers app. 

When leaving items in lockers, please ensure that the locker used has been correctly closed and locked. Tide Cleaners is not responsible for any loss or damage to property resulting from a failure to secure the locker successfully. Tide Cleaners is not responsible for any orders that are left outside of the lockers.

3. Damaged Property

To be considered for reimbursement or refund, any damaged items must be reported to Tide Cleaners within seven business days of your order being delivered. Tide Cleaners is not liable for any damage reported more than seven days after a delivery notification for the respective order has been provided.

Tide Cleaners follows the standards and policies set forth by the Fabricare Industry and the International Fabricare Institute. We exercise the utmost care in cleaning and processing garments entrusted to us and uses such processes which, in our opinion, are best suited to the nature and conditions of each garment. Nevertheless, we cannot assume responsibility for inherent weaknesses or defects in materials which may result in tears or development of small holes in the fabric that are not readily apparent before processing.

We cannot guarantee against color loss, color bleeding, and shrinkage; or against damage to weak and tender fabrics; or against damage to ancillary items such as belts, buttons, beads, ties or zipper pulls. 

Tide Cleaners' liability with respect to any damaged items may be reimbursed as follows:

3.1 Dry Cleaning

The current value of the item or up to twenty times the cost of cleaning the item (if purchased within the past year), whichever is less will be reimbursed. No more than $250 per item will be reimbursed.

3.2 Wash & Fold

The value of the item up to $50, but no more than $250 per order will be reimbursed. If proof of purchase or comparable link to an item cannot be provided upon request, the customer will only be considered for a Tide Cleaners credit, up to $125.  Reimbursements may be provided in credits, refunds, or cash payouts (check) and will be determined by Tide Cleaners. For our shoe care services, Tide Cleaners’ maximum liability will be $50 per item. For all other services, including dry cleaning and laundry, Tide Cleaners' maximum liability will be $250 per item.

4. Lost Property

To be considered for reimbursement or refund, any lost items must be reported to Tide Cleaners within seven business days of your order being delivered. If a lost item is reported more than seven days after a delivery notification for the respective order has been provided, Tide Cleaners will make a reasonable attempt to locate your item, but will not be liable for the lost item.

Tide Cleaners makes its best reasonable effort to track every item that is processed and will review all lost item claims on a case by case basis. Any items determined to have been lost by Tide Cleaners will be reimbursed in accordance with the International Fabricare Fair Claims Guide and shall not exceed twenty times the cost of cleaning the item, whichever is less will be reimbursed.

4.1 Dry Cleaning

4.2 Wash & Fold

5. Shipping

Tide Cleaners is not responsible for any orders that are left behind. If an order needs to be shipped elsewhere, there is a $25 fee, in addition to shipping costs. These charges will be applied to the customer’s account before the order is shipped.  Tide Cleaners will provide an estimated shipping cost to the customer before shipping the item(s), and shipping will not proceed until payment has been accepted.

6. Loose Items

Tide Cleaners will attempt to account for loose items, however, they are not responsible for loose items left in orders including:

  • Belts
  • Cufflinks
  • Misc. embellishments
  • Broaches
  • Detachable buttons
  • Strings & Laces
  • Cash
  • Hoods
  • Hoods
  • Collar Stays
  • Jewelry
  • Watches
  • Credit cards
  • Laces
 

Customers must remove any loose items and empty pockets prior to leaving items with Tide Cleaners.  Tide Cleaners will not be held responsible if these items are not returned. If a belt is lost, damaged or not returned with an order, Tide Cleaners will only be responsible for the value of the belt, not the value of the garment that the belt belongs to. Tide Cleaners will also not be held responsible for damage to your garments from items left in pockets (lipstick, gum, pens, etc.).

7. Barcodes

Tide Cleaners will adhere a permanent barcode to your garments in an inconspicuous location. These barcodes are very important in helping us track your garments so that items are not lost and to ensure you are billed consistently every time. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate requests not to affix barcodes to your clothing.

8. Order Turnaround Time & Promise Dates

Service days and turnaround time vary by location. Tide Cleaners will make its best reasonable effort to return clothes within 2 business days of drop off. However, order promise dates are estimation, and we do not guarantee turnaround times. If next-day service is available and requested by a customer, Tide Cleaners cannot guarantee an exact delivery time, but will put forth their best effort to return the order by 10 pm the following day. In the event an order is delayed due to unforeseen circumstances, Tide Cleaners will not be responsible for compensation or reimbursement for replacement items purchased by the customer before the order is delivered.

9. Neglected Orders

Any items that are not picked up from a locker within 30 days of a delivery notification being provided are considered abandoned and are subject to being donated.

10. Promo Codes

Customers are permitted to use one promo code per order, and may not combine a promo code with any other Tide Cleaners offers. Promo codes cannot be applied to orders that have already been completed.

11. Bed Bugs & Biohazardous Materials

Tide Cleaners holds the right to return any order that contains bedbugs or a biohazard for the safety of our employees. Any order that is infested with bedbugs, contains feces, blood, bodily fluids, or anything else that is harmful to our employees will be sent back unprocessed and the customer will be charged a $50 biohazard fee.
